Boat Carrying 14 Overturns Near Statue of Liberty Killing Mother and 5-Month-Old Baby – Captain Arrested as Authorities Investigate Possible Illegal Charter

A 27-year-old woman and her 5-month-old daughter were killed near Liberty Island in New York on Saturday night after a speed boat carrying 14 people overturned and capsized.  One survivor from the deadly incident told ABC that NYPD rescue teams arrived on boats and immediately brought people to the dock.
